Need Paint Suggestions for colors of Ford GT, Dodge Viper GTS and Corvette C5-R

Hi guys, I'm in the process of completing a ford gt and a dodge viper gts and a Corvette C5-R. Unfortunately I live in the sticks and have to buy my stuff online.

I need paint colors for the following.







Any suggestions on what paint and where to buy it online? Thanks

Airbrush or no rattle can? Have you tried Scale Finishes or Zero Paints?

I´m guessing that you want to paint your models like the cars on the pictures...right?

In that case the red on the Ford GT is called - Torch Red D3
The blue on the Viper GTS is called - PBE Viper Blue
The Yellow on the Corvette is called (not 100% on this one, racecars are hard to get a true color match for) - Velocity Yellow clearcoat - 45/WA300N

These are official manuf. codes. not PPG.

Your local auto painter should be able to mix these up for you....

Wow, ya i forgot how into this hobby one can get. I was thinking spray can right now. Thanks for posting the links start21. I appreciate the response on the official car colors as well, however I would like to replicate the colors with a spray can. I have tried getting colors made up here in town... what a joke unfortunately. Not even worth my time with these guys. The closest city is 1.5 hours away.

If you´re looking for spray can paint you could try Tamiya TS sprays, they are widely available...

TS-8 Italian red for the Ford GT
TS-50 Mica blue for the Viper GTS
and TS-47 Chrome Yellow for the Corvette.

Otherwise you could use the codes I gave you to get some automotive touch-up spraycans at NAPA or something. There usually is a list/catalog with all the color names and numbers and the matching spraycans from their assortment.

I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance... I more or less just got into modeling 6 months ago. I have finished a C5 Corvette, Corvette C6-R and a Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe. However... I dont know if they are exactly worth posting.

What colour did you use on that C6-R. It looks more like the colour for the PCM Menards ALMS 2005 C5-R. If so I like to know the colour. I might want to try and build that C5-R. Or maybe it is just the camera/light angle and I am spacing...

let me figure it out, I'll post a better picture. the color came it out exactly how i would think the menards c5r color is/was.
