Smile 84 720 changing engines and trans-advice please

Let me start off by saying that I have basic mechanic experience. I am taking an online slef pace course to be an auto tech. Ofcourse being online i get no hands on experience so i decided i am going to swap engines in my 84 720 pickup.

I just bought a engine and 5 speed trans out of a 95 nissan sentra gle. I was told the engine was a 2.2 but i am pretty sure it is a 1.6L. at first i started to get overwellmed an engine from 95 has sow many sensors that were unheard of in 84. This forum and painlesswiring.com has relieved a lot of my fears. I know now that i can complete this project and get my truck back on the road.

I am going to try and rebuild the motor and trans myself. I am going to take my time with. I have already ordered a book and checked a few out from the library. I even watched a fe w videos online. i am not turning my truck into a racer or anything I just want it as a daily driver with good gas mileage. Everything will work it self out with time.

I would appreciate any advice or criticisms (please keep them tothe contsructive variety) you may have.

The biggest question I have right now is when the trans is done what do I need to do to get it to fit to the driveshaft or wahtever it is i wll be attaching it to when it is time?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Wouldn't the Sentra engine be front wheel drive? Are you converting the truck to front wheel drive? If so I believe that will be a little expensive and time consuming.
