I pulled the latch and nothng. Is there a way to open the hood? I think it probally came unbolted or the cable is shot but, how do I get to it to replace it?

Re: 2001 Chevy blazer hood wont open

on mine, i occasionally have to kinda punch the hood, just over the latch to get it to fully release, after pulling the release in the car.

Of course i fiddled with it a bit but didnt try punching it. Just want to hope there is a way to open it without pulling the trans....

Re: 2001 Chevy blazer hood wont open

I had the same problem on a 2000 Blazer. Had to push down on the flexible hood to open it. The cable has stretched, however I think I just cleaned out all the gunk and fiddled with the spring. Works fine still.
