Neat Trick to Remove Sound Insulation

First, use a utility knife to score up the sound insulation in a crosshatch pattern, then put dry ice on top of it. Let it get really cold, then remove the dry ice. Most of it should chip right off, with a chisel, or some other tool.

Cool, never thought about scoring it. But yeah, the dry ice comes tomorrow.

Not bad, you're way ahead of me. The cross hatching should help it come off in little chunks.
Remember, use gloves, if you like having skin on your hands.

Yeah, I am contemplating whether I should paint it now, or wait. Either way, all this needs to be done now.
