Got a new set of Honda Hub Caps to cover my ugly steelies.

So uh.. It's ok to just remove my tires with the tools that came with my car? Meaning the good ole spare tire wrench and jack?

The rule of thumb for putting lug nuts back on is twist it by hand and then a 1/4 turn with the wrench am i right?

get a tire iron it'll be waaaaaaaay easier to take them on and off, im sure they sell jack and tire iron kits.....its way faster if you get things besides the stock stuff....but that stuff will do fine if you dont mind

I cant believe you people spend money on new hubcaps. Either take em off and repaint your steelies so they look nice, or pressure wash and paint your existing caps, back when I had steelies I redid the caps ... then saved up and bought myself some VX rims.

Heres a pic of my 13 year old hubcaps with the new paint

I also rolled black hubcaps for a short time

And heres my buddies 95 civic which we sandblasted and repainted the steelies on

So as you can see, depending on what you want to do, there are many alternatives to wasting your money on freakin hubcaps.

I bought new hubcaps from Honda. $65 for the set, and I think it looks really fuckin good... much better than a shitty paint job or just rollin ugly ass steelies.

tighten them till you can't budge them anymore. always do the criss-cross pattern though.

i think its only 80 ftlbs of torque. but just make sure u dont put the car back on the ground with loose lug nuts or else youll break wheel studs. overtightening can do that too

Melt maybe hubcaps are all he wants, and maybe he doesn't want to save up and buy new rims (i dont like VX rims, but I don't bash you for them Melt, do I?). To each his own.
