Z Cards

I love getting free stuff.

In the mail on Monday, I got a package from Nissan. I sing up for stuff at car shows and online all the time, so who knows what this was from...

It was in silver plastic. I cut it open to find a letter and a metal box. The letter says:
Quote:
THE NEW NISSAN Z WON'T ARRIVE UNTIL FALL 2002.

We've enclosed something to help fill the time.

Your early interest in the new Nissan Z Concept is much appreciated. And totally understandable. So, to thank you for your current interest and your continued patience, we've enclosed a special deck of Nissan Z Concept playing cards. You can use them to while away the until the new Z arrives in fall 2002. You can also use them to disscover interesting, amazing and surprising facts about one of the most popular sports cars in history, a sports car poised to make history again. And between hands, you can check out our regular Z updates on NissanDriven.com.
So, on closer inspection, the other thing isn't metal, just cleverly textured cardboard. I open it, and the first card I see is the joker, with a giant "Z" emblem. I flip the deck over and the top card on the other side is a shot of the Nissan emblen in the wheel center cap. These are nice cards. I fan out the faces, and they all have writing. The top card says the cars with silver writing are "facts from the remarkable history of the Z," and the cards with orange writing are "facts about the amazing history-making new Z Concept." The backs of the cards are not all the same. There are 6 different artsy-farsty shots of the car and interior.

All in all, it's a really nice collectible, and it was totally unexpected. Thanks, Nissan!

No, not exactly. Just find the "request a brochure" section of the car's site.

Now that I think about it, I did fill out a Nissan interest card a a car show in September. I wonder if it was from that...

And BTW, welcome to AF!!!
