Check Engine Light On
My check engine light has come on - 2002 Durango V8 4.7 L 4WD
The code is P0440- EVAP Emission Control System Malfunction. My mechanic said to put a new gas cap on. I did and the light came back on 3 weeks later. It appears that the "vaccuum" line near the top of the engine tied into the pressure issues associated with gas tank is in tact but not in the bracket (so to speak) that it was desgned to be in. Apparently the bracket broke. Maybe this line is moving around a little bit under the hood and sending a signal that something is wrong. I don't know. What do you guys think?
