1990 Isuzu pickup
The guy I bought this pickup from installed a new fuel pump. I noticed that it stays on when the truck is running. It stays off on the first ignition point, then turns on at the second one, then stays on. I see he has a wire running to the fuse box. I heard I can put in a switch but how do I wire it or what can I do to fix this problem before this pump burns out?

Re: 1990 Isuzu pickup
Thanks sassee for the reply. I was told by a mechanic that the pump stays on all the time and is only loud and obnoxious because it is not inside the fuel tank where you cant hear it. Hence my name, renchhednot, thats why I ask questions. I didnt know. Also, there is not a fuel pump relay in the engine compartment but one thats marked for a/c i think.
