anoying pop up ads they are going to far

guys

Am I the only one that is getting annoyed by these annoying pop up ads ? Yesterday they covered my whole screen while trying to read posts on this forum. I under stand the need for advertising but they are going to far.

I don't much care for cell phone ads being shoved in my face. As far as I am concerned all cell phones need to be thrown in to a huge pile and burned.

Re: anoying pop up ads they are going to far

???

I've never had them "cover my whole screen"...for the most part I don't even realize they are showing - I have so learned to overlook them. However, if they did cover the screen and interrupt my reading I, too, would be unhappy. An ad that gets annoying I write down and determine I will never purchase that product.

Just like in politics - if I get a phone call from a candidate I WILL NOT vote for him - even if originally I had been planning to.

I appreciate these 'free' forums and am more than willing to put up with a little inconvenience from advertising and a few rules that are seemingly irrelevant along with the necessary ones.

After saying alll that, If I get some pop-ups that are coving the page I'm trying to read I will also let the admin know I don't appreciate that particular ad. Ads that get too annoying hurt the site more than help it...a posting is no good if one cannot read it.

Just my

I don't mind the Ad from Circuit city,it's cool how it attacks you and than
it leaves.Alot of these stores will ambush you and attack with bull shit
products.
I was working on my car at Auto Zone in Raligh NC and a drunken Ho ambushed me ,while I was under the Hood.
WTF,I got enough problems!
The Homeless guys in the area didn't want her.
Setting aside Drugs and Alchol, the root of there problems was some bitch.
I spent $16 for a low beam bulb.
How much does LKQX or JYD charge for a Head light bulb?

McGiver,
I haven't quite figured out your post.
Was the $16 for the HO or the bulb. They are both "lights out"!

Actually the Ho was cheaper,it took a dollar just to get rid of Her!

I should of gave her a few bucks to pull parts @ LKQX!

It seemed like Auto Zone screwed me for $16 plus Tax.

I wounder how much a Ho would charge Me at a Dump! ,or LKQX!

It's not just you, I HATE the %@*$%@ things !! I sometimes have to hit the post reply, or quote link just to read the posts.

It's not as bad using IE 7.. IE 7 seems to push the text aside to make room for the ads..

Firefox however is the worst, the ads attack the whole screen and there's no way provided to move 'em aside.

Re: anoying pop up ads they are going to far

I have firefox, will try that ad on, thanks.

I was getting a lot of calls from the Clinton group to vote for her. One of the callers caught me on a rough day. I told her to send old Hillery out in person and ask for my vote and then I would vote for her. The girl on the phone didn't know what to say. Same goes for those ads. If I want something I will go and buy it. Hard sell advertising isn't going to do it.

I hear ya Mcgiver on those Bums and Hos, had them bothering me for years back home in metro Detroit. I've traded out for un employed low life rednecks and sleazy trailer trash women down here in KY.

Re: anoying pop up ads they are going to far

Interesting. I've been using this forum for several years and I can't remember ever getting a pop-up ad. I use Firefox and it seems to have a pop-up blocker. I really don't get pop-ups while on any site. I do get a pop-under occasionally. Usually from Netflix.
