97 bravada backfire won't start

my kids bravada drove fine,i got up next day to move it won't start backfires through carb acts like jumped time checked wires &plugs thinking might be brain is there any thing i can check to help diagnose

First thing to check is for fuel pressure and good hot blue spark to more than one spark plug.

Check dist cap and rotor.
Is dist rotor turning?
Has the check engine light been on?
Fuel pressure 60/66 lbs?
