s10 fuel odor

i got a 95 s10 that has a fuel oder... theres a hose on top of the tank that goes nowhere. maybe a vent or sumthing????????? thats where i smell it at....and also the clutch pedel is loose like you can pick up on it and it pulls the pushrod out. any ideas

On the gas smell.
The hose has come off of something.
Have a good look at it and find out where the hose is supposed to go.

How far can you pull clutch pedal back?
Hyd or manual clutch linkage?

well i found the missing hose it fell off the evap canister lol how dumb of me. and for the clutch its hyd and from the point were the pedal comes up on its own i can grab it and pull about 2 inches up on it

The master cylinder is sticking or the clutch pedal itself may be binding some place.
