Question 2001 grand prix ABS/Trac light

driving my 01 gp 3.8 n/s and all of a sudden my abs/trac light came on i checked my brake fluid and its full. i replaced the rear brakes about 2 weeks ago and the hub about 1 month ago and this is the first time i have EVER seen these lights and ideas. Also is it safe to drive????

sounds like another wheel bearing went bad. you can bring it to auto zone and have them hook up an ABS capable scanner just to be sure.

You could also have a loose connector on one of the hubs. Shouldn't be a problem to drive, just the ABS may be disabled but the brakes just work fine otherwise.

Just to clarify when did Autozone start scanning with an ABS capable scan tool? The ones in my area do not and will only scan if there is a SES/CEL light and odb-ii emissions related issues only. The best scan tool to use is a GM Tech II for GM/Bosch ABS 5.3 braking and traction control system issues which may require a trip to the dealer unless you get lucky.
