2nd Alternator in place of AC unit?...
How easy is it to replace the AC unit with a 2nd alternator?
I would rather have the alternator on the front where it can be accessed easily, and put a dummy pulley on the back of the engine. |

How frequently do you have to service your alternator? Actually, the factory alternator mounting on a 191 V-6 is not that bad.

Also, and perhaps more to the point, a second alternator would make alot of extra amps available for HHO experiments. The few HP lost driving the 2nd alternator would be more than made up by the 10 or so MPG gained with an alternate fuel source. |
