funny noises
I have a 2005 Malibu Classic and it just started doing weird things. There is an occasional "ding" alarm sound coming from the dash, sometimes up to 4 "dings" and then it stops. And now, once in a while the horn gives a little burst. No warning lights are on. Any ideas if this is 2 problems or 1? Any ideas what the problem is?

Re: funny noises
Don't know what the later cars do but I used to have an Oldsmobile and if I locked it with the remote and unlocked it with the key it made some of those noises but I think the lights flashed off and on as well.

Re: funny noises
I don't have a custom alarm on the 2005 Malibu Classic and use the remote to unlock/lock the car - except when I'm getting out of the car, then I use the unlock switch on the car door.

Re: funny noises
Thanks for the suggestions. I did find out what was going on. The door lock switch was getting stuck in the up position and was causing the chimes/horn toot. Lubricated the lock switch and now is working fine. Just and FYI if somebody else is having similar problems.
