Every time you open the glove box hu? How about a little more info...... What fuse, what conditions, anything that can help determine the problem.

more info

It's fuse number 8 all day long. It pops when i open the glove box in any situation. I was thinking if there was a light bulb out, perhaps it wouldn't complete the circuit, but i don't remember there ever being a light in there.

(fuse number 8 = courtesy lamps, key warning buzzer, fule filler door release, radio, power mirrors)

Do you have an aftermarket stereo, and are all the wires hook up properly? Yes there is a light in the glove box, but being out wouldn't cause it to blow. Are you using the right amp fuse that it calls for?

The truth of the matter is that the original deck stopped working, and i've been trying to install a pioneer, but no matter what i do the bitch won't work, it'll power up, but the speakers won't go. I'm taking it in to get it professionally installed. What on earth could the relation between the glove box and the stereo be?

Thanks for your attention to my problem thus far.

Well, the radio is the most common area that people alter. That's why I asked if you changed something in there. If an installation was done wrong, then the one little thing can blow the circuit. Since the courtesy lamps are on the same fuse as the radio, I associated the extra amps being drawn by the switch in you glove box that activates the light to the problem. I use to have a problem with my map light blowing the fuse for my radio, turned out to be a faulty terminal in the map light. I would suggest taking out the pioneer and either capping off the wires or reconnecting them the original way, and see what happens.

problem appears to be solved. I replaced my old deck - apperently he deck shorted out causing an incomplete system. I'm still baffled by the glove box being the cause of the fuse.

Meaning when you open the glove box, you were overloading the system by triggering the glove box light. Which is on the same fuse as the radio.
