1984 733i vibrates at ~40 mph - any ideas?

I'm looking at a 1984 733i which vibrates at ~40 mph give or take about 5 mph - lower and higher speeds, no problem. Any ideas from experience what this may be from?

Most probably your tires need balancing, or there could be a "bubble" in one. Where does it feel like it's comming from? Front you'll notice steering wheel shake a little, rear could feel "sliding" sensation. In spect tires REAL good.
