Durango leaking coolant

Good morning. I have a 00 Durango with the 5.2 v8 with 107,000 miles on it. I recently replaced the water pump, thermostat and thouroughly flushed the system. The vehicle hasn't been driven much in about 4 months due to my wife having a bone marrow transplant. I took the vehicle out last weekend for a drive and when I parked it I noticed it was leaking coolant. I looked up under the engine and it appears to be leaking from somewhere up around the corner of the head on the drivers side. The coolant has been disapearing for awhile but without any visible signs of leaking out. The oil is clean with no indications of water. The oil cap is clean. There isn't even any white smoke coming from the exhaust. It seems to only start after it reaches operating temperature. I'm leaning towards a head gasket. I have the ability to replace this but I am looking to see if anyone else has had this type of issue. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I should test this before I start tearing into the engine. Thanks for the help. Jeff

Re: Durango leaking coolant

You may want to check your freeze plugs on the block. That is an issue that I am facing right now on my '01 4.7L Durango.
