Jerky 98 Leganza

Hi there,

I'm new here, and new to Daewoo so thought I'd join up and hopefully learn a few things.
Anyway, got a 98 Leganza as a work car, but it is "Jerky" as I'm driving along at slow speeds, annoying...can't seem to drive it smoothly at all, as in doing 30 mph it "jerks" badly with even the lightest touch of the gas pedal.
Its a 98, 2 litre 5 speed, 130,000 miles..have changed plugs, air filter, oil and filter, antifreeze etc, drives beautifull on the open road.
Also the air con does not work, I can't get a test light to show power to the compressor, have checked all fuses etc. Guess that means a dud compressor?
Here in NZ it simply wouldn't be worth fixing if it was the compressor.
