Alright, here we be.
As you all know, i've been breaking in the new engine by putting a load of highway miles on it in little hour long journeys. The other day on the highway i had an interesting time. I'm rolling along at a comfy 116km/h, and i'm doing a routine mirror check and spot Nissan headlights in my rearview mirror. I'm thinking nothing of it, until those lights flash in my mirror. I'm thinkin 'what the hell is this guy doin?' as he pulls around me side by side. It's about a 2001 or so Maxima. He looks over and starts pointing forward like he wants to do a run. I figure what the hell, nod, and turn off the stereo. When i look up again, he's pulling away, didn't wait for a fair launch, the bastard! So i floored it and started to catch up when i got beside him again he looked shocked, appeared to drop a gear and gained a little on me. I put the gas all the way down again and just began to neatly jog away from him. He was growing smaller by the second, and i was going faster by the second. by the time i had about 50 yards on him, the needle was poking around 245km/h. I didn't know if the car was still going or not, but i shut it down then, not wanting to push too hard. So that's my first run in the Bonneville. It's a very promising start!

Bombast stellar, student! Toasty good run with plenty of greatness on the side. Now, when are you going to really stick it to 'em and kick some ricer ass in the twisties? (like my team when the cars are running
) Anyhoo. You keep owning 'em up there, and we Parma Speedstars'll keep 'em down here. Must remember to match revs between shifts. Straight cut gears! STELLAR!

Now Redneck, say it with me...
AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Nice Nova, I knew a guy in Comox who had a nice yellow Nova, I think it was a '70, with 12" tires on the back... I saw another one last night in a parking lot, looked pretty stock, grey paint and blue stripes. It had original Rallye wheels, and it looked very clean, somebody knows how to treat a classic

Tat, the old one got wrapped around a tree over the summer when i was racing a Prosche. A damn rabbit ran onto the road, and he hit it. It was rainy, wet road and he slid to one side, clipped my fender, i sopun out of control and whamo! So this is a new one...i had a PT Cruiser for a while which i modded a bit, but sold it got this new Bonneville and used the difference on the cash from the PT to modify this one.
db, i did have a new speedometer in, and i had the 'heads up display' digital speedometer tuned so it will show all numbers in the 200km/h range. whether or not the car will do all the way to 300 is another sotry entirely tho! I'll have to find out just how high i can push it on a long stretch of highway some night. Not 'til summer though, the roads are all black ice as i found out over the weekend!
