Turn signal/Hazard lights problem

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango. When I turn on the right turn signal it works fine, but when I turn on the left turn signal sometimes it works and sometimes the Hazard lights come on instead. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.

replace the multifunction switch and check the connector
