Wet Floor - 97 Mystique

I am taking in water (not coolant) on passenger floor. I believe it is coming through the cabin air filter. I replaced the gasket on the filter mount and cowling (windshield). Yet to test, but would like to know if there is anything else before I close it up. Previous owner, sister-in-law, had it to the dealer several times with no solution. Dealer was pretty sloppy: no clips on air box, bolt missing on water pump shroud......
