Extra parts for new CD deck?
My CD player ate a cd and won't spit it out, and won't play it. Any ideas on this would be appreciated lol. But yea, I went to the store and checked prices on a new CD player, and I got the same thing from Bestbuy and Futureshop that it would cost $115 extra in parts just because I have the optioned Delco Bose system or w/e in my car. Is this...for real? I've never heard of this before when talking to others about new CD players.

Re: Extra parts for new CD deck?
yeah i hate it when cd players do that..u can take it out and try to take it apart..??? and as for that bose system, my rs had one in it, great sound but nothing else works with them.... u have to get any extra subs u put in the car or other speakers wired with their own power and amp suply...the decks have to be wired in sum special way..it all has to do witht he kind of power the speakers use....something like the level the bose runs on is different from every other speaker, i had somebody who was a big music nut explain it to me 3 years ago in here. any stereo place can tell u how that all works. everywhere i went people just told me to rip it all out and re-do the entire sound system. but my soney deck worked with the speakers and sounded great!
