Question Mini Cooper Question

Hi, too all that have build the Revell New Mini Cooper. I have a few questions concerning this kit.

I heard the part don't fit together too well, is this true?
Does it only come with 1 set of wheels? If not, are the Cooper S 8 spoke wheels included? Like this:

How much did you pay for your kit and where did you get it from?
Thanks a lot!

There is only one set of standard 5 spokes in the kit. It's not a Cooper S.
The rims I used on mine I "borrowed" from an Integra.

The assembly isn't too bad, the glass is the biggest challenge. You have to paint the black inside, and it's not well marked nor symmetrical. You have to be careful gluing it in. The top is a separate piece. The headlight and taillight buckets are almost too small, be very careful while assembling them not to push them too far through the hole. Mine were quite fun to build and worth the little extra effort.

Here are mine if you missed seeing them the other day:

This is the Maisto, these are the same rims that are in the Revell kit:

I've thought of stealing the headlights from this model for my Gulf car. The Maisto diecast has much better headlights than the kit.

I cheated and got mine for about $7 each at a half-off sale at Hobby Lobby. Check their website (www.hobbylobby.com) to see if there's a store near you and to see their weekly specials. I've got a ton of my models when they are on sale there...like a $19 Tamiya Modena, a $5 Tamiya Beetle, $6 BMW Z8....

It may have been $6.49. I'll gloat no more

I rape and pillage that poor store nearly every time they have a sale. I've walked out of there w/obscene quantities of fresh plastic.

It's a Revell kit. The body's a bit dodgy w/some pretty serious lumps, bumps, and mismatched mold lines. Spend quality time sanding and polishing the body, rescribe a few lines and it can be a stunning replica. Ask Veyron to show off his...
