Smile Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

I am hoping that I am posting this in the right area.

I am just looking for which other Chevy Vehicles or any other vehicles for that matter that come with stock rims which are compatable with the stock cavalier lug pattern?

I tried a search, and I really came across nothing. I did see though someone mentioned some new VW's have matching lug patterns and will work on Cavs.

I just got my first Cav a 95 Z24, and am not used to anything about it, so finding this place was a blessing. I am thinking, Sunfire's obviously will fit, then I would assume, that S-10's, Sonoma's, Firebirds, Trans Ams and Camaros, but I could be completely off. Bigger sizes are even better, as I would prefer to try and find some stock 16's or 17's from a compatible vehicle, might be able to save a buck or two.

If anyone has some knowledge on the subject it would be greatly appreciated, a list of as many as you can think of would be excellent. Much appreciated guys, hoping to be around for a while and contribute as I fix up this car from busted, to, maybe a little less busted.

Again, hoping I put this in the right place.

the bolt pattern is 5 x 100. any rim that is 5 x 100 will fit. just making an assumption any j-body car rim will fit also.

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

wouldnt be so sure about other brands of chevy's fitting, that and i dont really like the look of any other rims other than the z28/ss/z24/Z06. i would look at some bmw rims, im pretty sure the 04+ model 3 series fits. but be careful on the "all 5x100" size fits all thing, u have to look out for backspacing and all that jazz. just keep ur eyes open and make sure everything fits b4 u buy anything. i dont remember what ur year cavy's backspacing is......0.42 maybe? for some reason that rings a bell.

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll keep them in mind.

The reason I ask, is because I am off to the junk yard today and they have got a few decent rimmed smashed up cars which might look better on my Cav than these non-stock crappy after market things the previous owner has substituted on my Cavalier. So basically, I am looking for something stock, decent looking from another car that would fit, even if they still happen to be 15's or what not. Any more input would be great, and I thank you guys for your input again.

I'm also just checking into getting brand new rims from one of these places I've seen linked on the forum, wheelmax or tirerack, but I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment, so we'll see.

A lot of the cars you mentioned are RWD and it wouldn't be a good idea to put them on the car.

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

i always wondered what the hell is the difference between the rims on awd, rwd, and fwd cars?

i have celica rims circa 2001... but i got them from someone who had them on an 84 box caprice... he had yokohama tires on em... i just recently threw some khumo's on them...

but anyway, whats the difference

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

rwd cars usually have wider/larger tires in the back. henseforth, it woud be pointless to put them on a fwd car. now as for awd i was wondering the same thing. i think some wrx rims would look mighty fine on a cavy...just my opinion though

some of the WRX rims would like sick as hell!! They would work except for the whole AWD thing because the bolt pattern on them are 5x100 except on the '05 and up are 5x114.3

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

Yeah, some of those WRX rims would be a nice fit, personally thos SRT rims looks even better, and if I can find 'em cheap maybe second hand, all the better as long as their in decent shape.

I just wanted to get something else on this car before I start driving it, because personally I think these things on it now look terrible.

Someone asked for some pictures of the rims, well here's one below. They may be stock from something, but I do not remember ever seeing a cavalier stock rim come looking like that. As I said above this is my first Cavalier so I am used to seeing Firebird/Trans Am, Camaro rims, and not so familiar with what will and won't fit these lugs. So as long as they fit, and look half ways better than these ones I have now, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for the stuff you guys have already provided, I'll look into finding some 2002ish WRX rims or soe of the SRT rims, that guy has on his Cav there.

My current rims:

Re: Cavalier Compatable Rims from other Chevy's

^Yup those SRT rims dont look to shabby either. I'm sure you could find used ones for sale somewhere. And those rims that are on your car are definatley not a stock cavalier rim. I'm not sure which car they are off of. I agree with you about those rims looking terrible lol

*EDIT* I found some rims on ebay...
