Started Veilside RX-7

This will be my first Japanese kit. Opened it yesterday and got to looking at it. Looks like it will turn out well, but there's one problem. All the instructions are in Japanese. Is there any way to "decode" them?
Won't be posting many pics of it becase my dig. cam. is a peice! Any help would be nice.

Instructions?

You don't need instructions. Japanese kits are very simple and basic. Just piece the kit together by test fitting everything! If you need some guidance, follow the assembly diagrams. :bandit:

Help...

Primera Man could probably help you with this. He just built the same kit a few weeks ago. His car is listed on the car modeling gallery above. Send him a msg. w/ your questions.

Oh, you don't need to decode japanese to know the paint scheme.... there should be lines labelled X-17 or TS-17 or something like that in the diagrams... Depending on the kit you're building, it could reference either Tamiya or Gunze paints.... (I don't think any Japanese kit references MM or Testors colors)....

If it's something like X-17 or TS-17, go to Tamiya's website and check out their color table... that would give you the english name of the color desired. I'm not too familiar with Gunze... someone else needs to help u out with Gunze colors... hpoe this helps

Anything that needs paint says PH then a number in a square. The numbers range from 1-95 with white background. Igues the P means paint but then im lost.

Tamiya doesn't have anything like this.

Easy. Go to Urban's Color Chart paint matching guide here:
http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorch...lorcharts2.htm

Click on Gunze Sangyo's acrylics, find & match. Voila!

If it is about the Aoshima Veilside Combat RX7 I think I owe you much.. since I can't read Japanese also I never could find the colors but if it is Humbrol then I should be okay with the table you supplied me..

Actually i think daggerlee's is right. Mine is for humbrol but when matched, the colors don't seem right. Use his, thats what i'm gonna do.

Fujimi, Aoshima and Hasegawa give their color charts for Gunze Sangyo's "Mr. Color" line of paints and sometimes also the "Auto Color" line, also made by Gunze.

Dan's link has a great conversion chart.
