best street racing car?

What are the best cars to start off with if your aiming to get to single digits on a 1/4 mile race.

definetly a geo, if you're looking for raw performance and thrills.. look into a geo metro.

Re: best street racing car?

I guess it all depends what aspect your looking from.
How about a ferarri or a lambo....
Me neither...
Look for a lightweight car that is in your class(ie rwd fwd awd) and go from there...
The reason i say light weight is the more weight you have the more power you need, and the less ability you havbe to remove weight.
Second yopu need a good power train.
You may want to start our with building you motor to have drooling power but thats not always a good thing start with the trans and relate4d components(unless you call a cold air and a fart tube a fast car that is.)
After that go to the basic bolt ons(ie if its stock turbo bigger intercooler inj. etc, if not headers ign. upgrade some wieth reduction(hood fenders etc)(also no exterior mods unless you can destroy 99% of any thing on the street.)
After that yoiu can think of major upgrades like internals (pistons rods cams etc) and once ytouy got them all under controll theres always the power adders boost, nitrous etc....

just a little insite dont over rev your 8000$ motor and turn it into 30$ worth of scrap metal)

or you could just buy a stock geo and throw a wing on it and some ground effect and destroy them all (oooh i forgot the 1000hp nos shot)

good luck
