Angry 94 bonneville-ac problem

hey, newbee here! my bonnevilles ac compressor will not cycle at all now, i did some diagnosing, and found that there is no power getting to the ac relay in the underhood relay center, i ran a jumper to the back of the plug to supply power to it, and the compressor came on, while it was running, i checked the freon pressure level, and it was perfect. the air out of the vents was ice cold too. ive also checked all the fuses i could locate, inside the car as well as the one in the underhood location. is there some kind of resistor or relay built into the switch in the inside of the car? this car does not have the automatic climate control, it has the standard switch assembly.is there a control unit in the inside of the car? if so where is it located? any insite will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Welcome to AF!

Um...a year would be helpful though.

Edit: I checked your profile and come to find out that you have a 94. Here is a link that you may find helpful regarding a 94 Park Avenue (Same motor, should have the same AC system).

Re: 94 bonneville-ac problem

well, i did some more diagnosing. i found that there is power getting to the main fuse in the underhood compartment, so i ran a wire from that circuit, to the power side of the a/c relay, along with another inline fuse, and it works fine????? I think that the switch on the inside of the car is bad. there must be some kind of resistor in it that sends a signal of power to the relay??????? anyway, i contacted a bud of mine at a junk yard that i have delt with for years, an im getting a used switch assembly. ($40) if that dont work, im just gonna leave it rigged i guess, im not gonna risk getting ripped off by some technician. Like i said ive worked on cars for years, (granted not many gm's) and i hate that im stumped. hey, but atleast it works! (for now anyways)
