driving with no hood ?

I was wondering if anybody here knew if it is legal to drive in OHIO with no hood on your car. I know for a fact it is illegal in PA. Thanks Alot Guyz !

I dont think it is legal anywhere. My friend drove his car around without a hood for a few days, no cop trouble.

Why the fuck would you want to do that? It might be alright if you're just testing the car for a few blocks or something, but other than that I would say no. That's like asking if it's alright to drive around with your doors open. Kinda Honduhish to me.

if the cop pull you over, just say the car is over heat, there are a guy in neibor hood, drove car without the hood ( over heat problem ).

well i am asking because i wanted to drive to the track without my hood, so i can get more airflow at the track. because i cant unbolt my hood at the track and just leave it in the parking lot ... lol

you have plenty of airflow, the fastest DSM's all run with their hoods on....

I think the drag coefficient would be worse anyway. (no slick surface for air to flow)

I would think the track officials wouldn't let you run as a safety concern. I know this kid that has a mk iv jetta gli and he went to the track with no hood and they only let him run once.
