1998 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up

I have a error p102 the truck has a miss, it have a vortech v6 engine, it give a maf or vaf do it mean it has one or the other sensor, and can you tell me were it's located. thanks in advance.

Your truck has a MAF. The DTC is for a MAF sensor low output. What the PCM is telling you is that at a given engine RPM and throttle opening, the MAF is reporting an impossibly low intake air flow. This is almost NEVER due to a failing or damaged MAF, so don't start by replacing it. Check the intake air ducts for gaps, poor connections, cracks or splits in the rubber tubing and elbows or plastic resonator plenums. Make sure the bonnet over the throttle body is sealed (the clip and big wing nut).

The code can also be set if the PCV system air intake (crankcase vent) is disconnected, or if the PCV valve is removed. The error code can be expected if the engine was run with the intake ductwork or bonnet at the throttle body removed, as when cleaning a TB or IAC passages with the engine running.
