Oil Change Warning

I recently took my '94 Le Sabre to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change. The mechanic did not reset my "Due for an oil change" warning light after changing the oil.

Can someone tell me how I can reset that warning light? It stays on for about the first minute or two of starting up the car. I find it annoying.

Also, does anyone have an opinion about the high mileage oil, Jiffylube always insist you use, if your car has over 70K on the clock?

Hello

My 97 has the reset in the glove box. I hold the button down for 5 seconds. Your 94 may be different. Check your owners manual. I use Havoline 5w30 and have 109,000+ miles with 3,000 mile changes. I don't think much about the "higher miles" oils. These engines are built well and will run 200,000 + with regular manintence.

Regards

Dan

Re: Oil Change Warning

Thank you. It worked as you said it would. I had never noticed that button there before.

Thanks again.
