More recent mods *pics*

Well i've done a few more things to the ram so i got bored and decided to post some pics. I've added OEM Billet Grill, Mopar Bedrails, Chrome fuel door(soon being replaced with the mopar one), and a HEMI hitch cover.

Mods to come include blacked out headlights(sitting on my air hockey table awaiting install), Pacesetter longtube headers, moving the elec cutout to before the cat when i get the headers on, possible an SRT-10 Hood.

Let me know what you guys think.

I like that that's a good looking truck. Tint the side windows though maybe.

I don't understand your exhaust plans though. You wanted opinions right? I don't see how having headers makes sense with running them into a cat. Manifolds flow good, headers work well with premium fuel/high horsepower engines. Your motor doesn't make enough power to warrant headers, and you can't run premium fuel without wrecking the cat, so what's the point? Looks I guess? The old saying I can always remember hearing as a kid was that headers gave the Chevy boys something to look at while they were broke down and workin on the motors. Chevies can use headers since the manifolds are so terribly restrictive to begin with as it is. But that's another ballgame altogether.

I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, I'm just giving you something to think about. You'll put headers on this truck and what if one leaks? I know you had them on your last truck and everything, but what I really want to know is, "why"?

Thats what the elec. cutout is there for. So its not always running through the cat. Wide open from the headers back when i want to. Quiet as can be when its closed(mainly late at night to keep the fuzz off my back). The longtubes with the cutout before the cat is good for 25-30 hp(dyno results not manufactures specs) on the 5.7.

Bleed- i think i should just start PM'ing you the mods instead of starting new threads. Your usually the first person to respond for atleast a week.

Oh yeah, forgot the tint comment. I would do it right now, but i know its part of my birthday (april 1st) present from the gf. Heh, first the bedrails for xmas now she's getting the windows tinted. Should also add she helps make some choices with the stylin also.

Yeah not much activity around here anymore eh. Dunno why.

You might as well get the shiny handles for your doors and tailgate. Do they have shiny mirrors on any of these trucks?

Fender arches might be an idea, to complement the arch made by the rails. Those things are sure to rust out your fenders, unless you silicone everything when you install them. Or take them off and clean behind them occasionally.

I know you took off alot of the emblems. How come you left the ones on the doors? Ever think of taking those off too?

Maybe mudflaps so that truck doesn't get eaten alive by the Minnesota salt. It does look cleaner without them. I dunno which is more important to you.

Looks pretty good the way it is and you might not want to overdo it. Bling bling!

Re: More recent mods *pics*

The tint thing. I wouldn't do it while it's still freezing outside. I did my brown car in the late fall and that was a mistake. I didn't give it enough time indoors to let the water evaporate, so once it came outside the water behind the tint froze and expanded the tint, and fucked it up pretty good. It looks normal at a distance but it is blotchy and poor looking up close.

Sounds like a nice girl.

Yeah, i know they make chrome handles. Not sure about the mirrors Im not really a fan of the fender flares much. I think april will be okay for the tint. She was originally going to do it as an xmas present but we both thought it would be better to wait until it was a little warmer outside. The MN salt is terrible. I try to get my truck to the wash usually once a week, two at the very most. Im still debating the Ram1500 badge removal. I kinda like'em.
