Question good buy?

i was at pep boys today and saw a set of APC coilovers for my car, im not a big time racer or anything, i just like the typical bolt-on stuff and maybe a turbo someday. anyways, the coilovers are only $150, and i was wondering if u guys think this is a good buy ?

I wouldn't get them. I sell them at work and they stink. I've never sold a pair yet and i've been there a year

i agree, i heard the spring rates on those suck, not even worth the $150. if you want the sleeve type go for ground control since you can order them with custom spring rates, they run approx $300. you can put them on your stock shocks, but eventually they'll blow, so its recommended you buy new struts too, like koni, bilsteins, toickio, kyb agx are the common. koni being the best from those in that order. i myself will be purchasing the tein ss fullcoilovers in a week or two, just waiting for payday

Were you watching HorsePower TV by any chance? They just put an APC suspension on a civic....

Anyways, I would save your money and get a set from a company that specializes in suspension like ground control. I wouldn't trust APC with the quality of the ride and handling but thats just me...

Remember, you get what you pay for.
