2001 Tahoe Fan rubbing?
Hello,
New to this board, but let me tell you. Love the car but expensive to take to the dealer for service! Here are my symptoms. When I first start the car and take off, I hear something like the fan rubbing against something. Now i mean the radiator fan not the inside cooling fan. It only does it when i accelerate, if i accelerate very slowly i can avoid it. I cannot see anything obvious when the car is in the driveway, hood up, and i blip the throttle......but I CAN hear it. I want to fix it before it breaks, and avoid an expensive repair. Any suggestions on how to diagnose? It seems that once the car is fully warm i do not hear it at all. |

Check the belt and the belt tensioner. Juat replace both of them on mine.
