Re: lowering my teg

You don't need new rims and tires. If you just want a lower car then drop springs and new stuts will be fine. If you want your car to handle well then I recomend coilovers. Searching will yield all the info you need about suspension, what brands are better, cost etc.

You may need a front and rear camber correction kit, depending on how much you lower it.

well my teg is stock how far should i lower it. i was thinkin about 2.5" but i dont want the fenders to be covering the tires just right to the top. is that gonna be low or what? and one other question is skunk 2 a good brand?? what would be the best camber kit to get. i want to go ahead and spend my money and get good reliable stuff so i can limit the amount of problems from the start.

I know most people will say stay away from skunk2, but I've never heard anything one way or the other on their camber kits, so I can't tell you for sure on that exact part. I know for lots of stuff though, there are better parts out there than Skunk2, especially engine parts. Ingalls makes some decent stuff, camber kits, etc. I know Ground Control makes camber plates for some cars, not sure if they do your your vehicle.

You will need a camber kit for sure if ypu are wanting to lower your car to right to the top of the fender. As for how low it that? Hard to say, for me 2.1" did the job. I'd have to see your car and measure, but I'd guess 2.5" will be tucked. You could get some good coilovers, that way you can dail in the ride height to your liking. If you are wanting it that low, I'd suggest looking into getting some custom rate springs that are stiffer.

Besides the commen full coilovers like tein that everyone recommends, you can also look inot Ground Control sleeves paired with Koni sports (yellows). The GC's sliup right over the koni's, and it's closer to a fully htreaded body coilover than any other one. It's a very good setup, plus both the GC's and Koni's have a lifetime warrenty to the original purchaser. To me that's worth it. Also, you can order teh GC's with custom rate springs, and custom length springs if you wish. As for the Koni's, the Nuespeed spec Koni Sports (the Koni Yellow SP3's) have a 20mm shorter shaft, stiffer vavling a a 5 way adjustabvle perch versus 3 way.

Re: lowering my teg

Skunk2 stuff is good quality, I just bought the Full pro suspension and its awesome. Fully adjustable and rides smooth. Their camber kit is pretty good too, a lot of that other stuff is a name and just because its out of japan people think it must be great. If you want to do cheap I would recommend the h&r race spring, its like 150$ free shipping on ebay. 2 inch drop looks nice on stock rims too, although its recommended you get aftermarket struts. Your struts will last a year or so which would give you time to save for new struts but your better off just doing all at once while you have the suspension apart.

I really like Skunk2's stuff and i dont really know why people bash it when their integra kicks some royal ass in the drag races. JIC is a good brand for suspension too, pretty expensive but good quality. The exhaust I got from is rediculous.
