93 z34 new front brakes grinding

hello and lets get started. I am a shadetree machanic who doesnt know much about chevy. but managed to change my front brakes. new rotor and pads. now I get a grinding noise when I drive. I took the wheels off to try and find the problom but the only thing that it may be is the caliber grinding on the rotor. now there are 2 bolts on the caliper that act like pins. do they need to be greesed?? the caliper does have a little play to it. any and all advise is greatly welcome.

You need to grease the bolts, is the caliper sitting properly? Make sure that the calipers pistons are not stuck down causing it to rub the pads on the rotor.

well after greasing the pins at work i drove home. on the freeway I took her up to 120 for about 3 miles till my exit. upon exiting. I noticed a brake smell. so I'm guessing my brakes may be dragging as well as the caliper rubbing.. any suggestions?? I rechecked all bolts still good and tight.

also I noticed when I turn right the noise gets loader. when I turn left the noise goes away. and when the suspention goes unloaded on bumps in the road he niose also goes away for a second.

Stock rims tires and rotors?

Did you lift or lower the car?

Check to make sure the brakes are not touch the rotor while the car is just sitting there, maybe your calipers pistons cant decompress all the way i dunno. definetley sounds like your brakes are rubbing on the rotors. also did you buy the right pads?

evey thing is stock. rotors are new but they are the stock ones. it was fine for a week. then the sound started. how would I ge the piston to decompress?

take a Tought screw driver, or a piece of metal. and push the pistons back up. use leverage and make them move.
