97 Venture signal lights

This is similar to some other problems, but no fixes seem to work. Right side turn signals all work except right front - side works, but all flash very fast. Left is normal. Flasher tests ok. Socket at rt. front replaced - no difference. 12 volt pulse measurable on line, but lamp will not light. Parking light ok. Ground wire ok. Stumped...............

Re: 97 Venture signal lights

I have the same problem, have never been able to figure it out. Right side flashes fast, front signal won't flash. Replaced bulb, it is only an intermittent problem. If you figure it out, let me know!

Re: 97 Venture signal lights

Check the ground wire connection. If you used a test light to check for the flashing 12V, it won't check the ground. However, if you put a bulb in the socket, and it doesn't flash, try probing with your test light on the ground of the bulb (the metal shell of the base). This will allow the bulb current to flow through the test light to ground. If the bulb flashes (along with your test light, but dimly as there would be two bulbs in series) then the ground connection is bad.
