Boss Mustang help/info required
Hey All,
I need some help to find some info on a 1970 Boss Mustang, as I understand it, these engines had blue engine blocks. I would like to know what "sort" of blue this was, and also how far this colour extended, i.e. was the sump and gearbox also blue or were they a different colour. Cheers Dan. |

Model Master makes "Ford Engine Blue" which is almost an exact match.
As far as what was painted Blue, I'm not too sure. I've seen many Mustang engines and it was hard to tell what was factory stock and what was modified. |

Ford engine blue is the correct colour. As far as I know Testors is the only "model paint" with that colour. The block, heads and water pump were painted blue. The oilpan and bellhousing back are aluminum or steel coloured. I've also seen the stock aircleaner painted engine colour but I'm not sure if this is factory stock or just for looks.
