What NOT to put on an Import
Post what you think does NOT belong on any Japanese car
I think altezza lights, underglow neon, 10 inch wings, huge bodykits, etc. do not belong on Imports

Everything made by APC, cheap universal mufflers, ugly "street fighter" body kits, ugly-ass spoilers, and chrome tail lights. None of these things belong on an import, or any car.

Re: What NOT to put on an Import
I don't think you should be talking about imports in general, there are some really good imports: Ferarri, lamborghini, rolls royce, bentley, porsche, mercedes... anything not from north america could be considered an import. I think you mean japanese economy cars.

Re: What NOT to put on an Import
Anything that doesn't serve any purpose other than to look flashy or draw attention. This includes five-foot tall wings on front-wheel-drive economy cars, five-inch mufflers for 100-horsepower four-cylinder engines, and Lambo doors on a $2,000 Honda.

Ludespeed is right. You never hear of a Ferrari being referred to as an "import". Anything from Italy or Germany or Britain are what we call "exotic" cars. This thread is about Japanese cars and what we hate to see on them. How often do you see a Ferrari with ricer equipment on it?

Re: What NOT to put on an Import
But how many of those cars are really IMPORTED?
Don't even talk about Italian cars, their fit and finish are awful, you can see most of them has problems on that. I know, they are assebled by hand, but can't they tell it when finished? And if we can tell, they should be able to tell too.

At least they use quality materials in their cars...not as much can be said for Japanese car makers.

Re: What NOT to put on an Import
Simple answer to the original question. No sport compact (From any country) should have: Fart cans (on sale for $13.99 at AutoZone), Giant wings, stickers worth more than the car, Neon glow on/under/between/around/up everything, exhausts made for no purpose other than to sound like a pissed off hornet, and symbols for companies nothing on your car is in any way associated with.
