98 Buick Regal--Blower Motor Help!!!

Hi all,

I have a question...I think I may have a clogged blower motor--the A/C works fine, its just that it occaisionally makes rattling noises/squeaking/grinding sounds when its on.

Question--Where is the blower motor? is it somewhere I can get to easily and replace myself, or should I have a mechanic do it?

Thanks in advance for the help

Dan

The blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dashboard. Its mounted in the lower half of the evaporator-blower assembly. You'll have to remove the felt covered kick panel and look underneath. The blower motor will have 3 bolts holding it up into place. It's very tight working in that area and you may have to remove the passenger side seat for convenience.

After its replaced make sure you clean or replace the cabin air filter located in the passenger side of intake cowling area under the windshield wipers. Good luck!
