99 Taurus Check Engine Code 1744--Tranny
My 99 Taurus keeps getting a 1744 code which points to the transmission Could this be a Torque Converter Clutch Selenoid going bad?

That code indicated the torque converter is stuck in the off position. It may be a bad solenoid.

I am going to replace that seleniod this weekend, I'll let you know if that fixes it |
