Essential Options

I'm in the market for a 2002 325i and although I know any BMW is great right out of the box, which factory options do you recommend?
I'm more performance oriented than appearence but if there are some cabin creature comforts you love, let me know.

Thanks

Re: Essential Options

Heated seats are awesome. I use mine all the time, definately worth it. NAV system not helpful, and kind of distracting, personal opinion though. Xenon lights incredible if you do lots of night driving on poorly lit roads, but if all night driving is lit city/highway roads, not noticable. Fogs not needed. Premium sound system not much better than standard, beter to spend money yourself on upgrades. Autodimming mirror annoying. Manual significantly faster than auto trans. 330i is very much faster but $5k more, might be worth getting a 2000 330i for same price as 2002 325i. Moonroof def worth it, sport package not worth the extra cash.

Thanks buymeabmwm3

I've since test driven a 325i auto and a 330 manual.
Yea...big difference in 'seat of your pants' fun.

Thanks for your advice!

Yeah go for the 330 . . . . if you go used make sure the person or the dealer has all records of maintenance done on the car.

Also, carfax it . . . to see if car had problems.

Good Luck ! !
