Re: CRX REAR Lights leaking

Let's try the CRX forum

Edit: did not know what year you have, but the most popular ones are the 88-91 so we will try that forums first, let me know if it is an older one and I will move it to the other CRX forum.

There is a gasket that goes around the light housing. Probably just need to replace that. Also, do you have any holes in the tail lights?

P.S. I'm talking about the tail lights here. If you're talking about the dome light, that's something else.

My crx leaked into the hatch when I got it.. wasn't my tail lights though, it was the rubber trim thing in the hatch..I just got a new one from a junkyard and put it in..no more leaks

But if it's your tail lights for sure..try what they said about the gasket behind the lights then if that doesn't work and you can't see any cracks in your lights try putting some silicon sealer or something around the seams on the tail lights.

And just outta curiosity you don't have "after market tails" do you? lol

no i dont... the tail lights are from a 90, my car's an 89.. i reversed the gaskets on them when i put them in put the left one on the right and the right one on the left i thought that would stop it. Because the 89 lights would get a puddle inside the lights, now the ninty's do. i think its right above the light. i dont know.. maybe i should just try new gaskets. i dont see how that would stop it though
