Air Locker Question
I have a question for you other guys that have ARB lockers running off an ARB compressor. How many times can you engage the locker before the compressor kicks back on? I'm trying to figure out if I have a slow leak in my system. ARB says most vehicles get 2-3 locks before the compressor kicks in again, but I'm just getting one lock and then after disengaging and then locking again the compressor comes back on.
I guess it doesn't necessarily mean I have a leak as the number of locker engagements before the compressor kicks in would be directly related to the length of the hose from the operational solenoid to the air locker. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dog

Maddog,
The question is, once you engage it does the compressor come back on while engaged? If not, there may be a leak but not in the air locker line. I diagnose line leaks by going to WalMart, buying a couple of bottles of kids bubbles, putting them in a garden sprayer and spraying the lines. If I see bubbles come out I fix the leak. Of course I don't use the ARB compressor, but it is the same concept. You may have a leak but from the sounds of it it isn't in the locker area. |

ARB locker
Are you using the standard ARB blue thin line or something larger.
I get 1 to 2 operations on mine using the blue line. Depends if I am using rear and front lockers or just rear. Sounds fairly normal to me. You will probably also have the compressor come on after having the locker engaged for awhile. Should not be a constant thing, just don't be surprised if it happens on occasion. |

thanks for the help guys
I was out on the trails yesterday and had no problems with the locker at all. I am using a larger hose than the blue ARB hose that came with the locker (I use the braided stainless AOR line that warmonger used in his system) so I assume that is why I only get one lock before my compressor kicks back on. Thanks for the help though.
