Major smoke problem
I have an 85 IROC-Z 305 tpi. i recently replaced head gaskets and intake gasket and a few other things. The car will start but after a few second of running it starts to smoke. really thick white smoke. What is causing this? After the smoking start the car will die unless you give it more gas.

Re: Major smoke problem
What does the smoke smell like the car is burning? Oil, coolant, too much gas?

Re: Major smoke problem
I would guess coolant or oil, most likely coolant maybe from the head gasket you just replaced. Not sure just a guess but I would keep an eye on the coolant to see if it's disappearing.
