1991 civic question

i am swapping a zc into my 1991 civic dx. the swap comes with a zc tranny and i know that i need 90-93 teg axles to fit. i have been told by some that the dx spindles are smaller and i need si ones, but i have bben told by others that they are the same and all i need is the the axles. BTW it is a canadian car if that makes a difference.

Not true about the '90-93 teg axles. You can use your stock DX axles in the ZC tranny - or you can just bolt your DX tranny to the ZC block. The DX spindles are not smaller than the Si - they're exactly the same. Whoever told you that was referring to the HF spindles being smaller.

So, if you had an HF you'd have to swap the axles...

Where do you people come up with all this WRONG info

For the ZC tranny you need the 90-93 teg axles and remove the spacers on the inside of the hubs(If you don't know about the spacers, do a search)

DX and SI have the same size hubs.

You can use your DX tranny and axles on the ZC motor but you will be much happier with the ZC tranny

yes, you cannot use DX axels on the ZC tranny, trust me i tried, the DX axel is too small and the inlet on the ZC tranny is too big.

you cant even use teg cv joints on the civic axle, trust me, doesnt work either, they'll click like a bitch and pop out

Ok, I stand corrected. I must've been confused. I knew you could use the DX tranny & DX axles, but for some reason I thought you could use the DX axles in the ZC tranny...
