I have a 2002 Pathfinder with the BOSE system and was wondering if anyone has or knows if an MP3 Player can be hooked up through connections in the rear of the radio.

My question is similar: Can a satellite receiver be connected direct to the Bose radio, or is an FM modulator the only option?
You'll find there are many "lookers", but few "contributors" in this forum...we may never get the answer here. Paul |

Paul, I know for 2003 they made the BOSE system w/built in XM sat. radio but for 2002 and older, I think you probably need the FM transmitter. But I could be wrong.

Thanks Rob. It looks like it may be possible to retrofit a 2003 unit into a 2001, but it may not be cost effective...unless I were to find one on ebay. I've never used an FM modulated unit. Is there a noticeable difference in the sound quality versus direct install? Thanks again.
