|
every week i have to add fluid
every week i have to add power stering fluid. jeep leaks alot of oil, but cant tell on dip stick, but can tell on ground. half a day = oil the size of a 50 cent peace, how can i tell if it is oil or power stering fluid.

If you add that much ps fluid it should be pretty clean. Slide a piece of cardboard underneath and see if the dripping oil looks clean and clear like ps fluid or dirty (if the engine oil needs a change)
This might all be unneccessary. The ps system does not burn oil. If you need to add oil its because oil is leaking out. |

it is dirty and i changed the oil 2 times in the last 4 months, one jiffy libe did, and the other me. is the ps fluid leaking from somewere mabey?

Like Magic says, slip some cardboard under there and find out where the drip is coming from, then trace it back. Lot's of places fluid can come from, just clean things up and start watching.
Oh - and remember - Jeeps don't leak, they mark their territory...
