How do you get the check engine light and the brake light
to go off on my 1998 grand voyager?

On the 87 and 88 models there is a reset button on the instrument cluster board. To reset it you have to remove the cover and fuel guage . There is a small reset button to the top right of the tachometer. The battery must not be disconnected when you reset the switch. It's not very visable and they didn't print the words Re-set switch next to it (which they should have) but the Haynes repair manual give an illustration.
