wheels 2 fit 2wd project

I have an 87 s10 2wd project truck. It has a 3" body lift and a 2" spring lift(f150 coil and a rear add a leaf). I plan on purchasing used wheels. Is the back spacing the same as on a s10 4wd? And what other wheels might fit? Also on the same note any ideas as to the largest tires I can use? I would be willing to purchase bushwacker cut-outs for the front. The Bed is a "rock crawler" style with a full roll cage that I made of heavy wall 2" steel tubing. Rear fender heigth/width should not be a problem. I have considered adding a 3" spindle lift with rear SOA. If I do this how much lift does a SOA give you? One last question, I am going to swap out the 2.8 for a 350 w/350 turbo that i am rebuilding. I was told I have 3.73 gears. What rear ends came in the 4wds?
there is alot of info here and I am sure these questions have been asked before. I tried to research back but didn't find anything. Sorry to be so long winded. Any info would be helpful>?

I've seen 4x4 wheels on 2 wheel drive s-10's before. a set of 31" tires should look good under your truck.

With a 350 under the hood, and big tires you'll probably destroy your rear end in no time. Look into getting a ford 9" with a posi built up for your truck. I really wouldn't know but an early style ford bronco might be narrow enough to fit in your truck properly and it would be strong enough for your truck.

4.11 gears, with a posi should allow you to out perform real 4x4's over most surfaces.

Stupid question, but why are you lifting a 2x4 truck.

Also, 4x4 s10 tires WILL NOT fit a 2WD.

Thanks for the info. Looking for a ford 9" posi now. Also, we held up 31-10.50s and they should work about right.
If you have to ask why you wouldn't understand anyway. BTW why would 4X4 tires not fit 2wd?

The offset is different for 4x4 and you would need spacers to attach a 4x4 rim to a 2wd hub.

Spacers are VERY expensive.

I've seen several raised 2wd trucks, and they are often used in off road racing pre-runner type thing.

If your mostly driving on fire roads, logging roads etc you don't really need a 4x4, but you do need a raised, rugged truck. 2wd are usually faster, lighter, use less fuel. Plus they usually have more suspension travel

Plus I personally believe that they look good when they are built right.
