Question about getting this car

I have an opportunity to purchase Oldsmobile eight eight, year 1998. It olny has 34K miles on it. The owner had cancer so it hasn't been driven too much. I heard that its not very good for a car to stay idle for such a long time. What do you think? The asking price is only $5,900.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Question about getting this car

TAKE IT!!!!...If it were a 1988 and had been sitting for a long time then I might worry, but a 1998 should be just fine. Give it a tune up and get out of there before someone steals it away!....It's a good deal

Good luck

If i were you I'd run away from that deal as fast as you can.........but before you sever all ties with the owner, how about sending his/her phone number my way? I'm joking obviously, it sounds like a great deal.
However, since you'll be getting such a good deal you should be able to afford to hire a mechanic to check it over. I'm the sure owners story checks out, but you never know. Good luck with it.
